Rev. John Langenstein serves as the pastor of North View United Methodist Church and United Methodist Temple of Clarksburg, W.Va. He serves in various Communications roles across the conference and is a certified United Methodist Communicator through the United Methodist Association of Communicators.
He graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Chemistry and Religious Studies. Following his call into vocational ministry, he attended Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. While in D.C. John began his work in communications, managing the seminary website, and also working ecumenically within the D.C. Baptist Convention. Outside of his work in parish ministry, John helps to equip churches with the tools and skills they need to communicate effectively and serves as chair of the board of Open Heart Ministries – an organization which help close gaps in support for its neighbors in North Central West Virginia.
John and his wife, Rev. Grace Langenstein, and his little boy. Together they keep three beautiful cats, knit, and brew coffee in increasingly complicated ways.
